Question about Abit LG-95Z Motherboard

1 Answer

Nothing Happens...period I have started the road to building a second PC, and got stopped at the first intersection. Here is what I have so far. I wanted to check the BIOS on my new ABIT LG-95 motherboard, so I installed the Intel Core 2 Duo E4400, the DDR2-667 240 pin RAM, and the 400W 12V1 power supply, the key board, the monitor..... and nothing. Did I miss anything?

Thank you for the post. Unfortunately, I have tried everything except the 24 pin power supply. The power supply I have is a 20 pin. I'm going to try a different power supply and some different RAM and see what happens. I'll let you know.

Did you install the 8 brass needed stand-off's & screwed the board down. Nothing underneth the board can touch the case back. I don't see a mention of the 24Pin power cable to ATX1. Check the cmos jumper pg.1-6 of the manual. It should be on Pin 1&2, & not 2&3. Check Red switch on PSU make sure it is set to 115v. You have memory. I gather 1 Dimm but if you have 2 pull one & try. Try the other dimm slot. The last thing I can think of would be the three wire CPU fan & thermal grease over the CPU & God forbid a broken pin somewhere on the CPU.
Good hunting & best hopes.

Hello! My PC crashed once, and i can't reboot it. It aborts while " initializing usb.. " directly after starting. (Win7)

if there are any external HDD attached unplug them before you boot.. try that first...if that doesn't work,..reboot..then press F12 or F2 ( you might have to tap-tap to get into settings ) to go into bios settings. disable boot from usb and make sure that the boot setup starts with the cd-rom first then the HDD 2nd and nothing 3rd.and if that fails... hopefully you made a back up/repair disc. use that...9/10 times it will fix what the problem is.

Suddenly quit and won't start.

Could be a processor failure, but try changing the cmos battery first on the mobo and locate 'JBAT1' terminal on mobo and put jumper across pins 2-3 then back to pins 1-2 and try starting up again.
