I have the same problem.....I hit the power button on the C763 Kodak Camera and the blue power light blinks 10 times, then turns off. I found nothing on the Kodak website. I tried the advice to clean the battery connections, but that didn't work either. Help!

Yup, same problem with my C763. Ten blinks, then nothing. Works with AC adapter, with battery in or out, SD card in or out, but with battery in and no AC -- nothing. Also, voltmeter showed battery putting out 3.5V, which is below 3.7V spec, but should be within operating tolerance.

Same problem. We bought two of the cameras in November. In April one of the camera's lens stopped extending and the camera light just blinked. It then stopped working all together. We returned it to Kodak's repair center for warranty repair. The week after we sent the first one off, the second one did the same thing. Unfortunately, I have misplaced the receipt and do not know if they will repair the second one. I would suggest going to the kodak trouble shooting and putting in your camera's serial #. It may still be under warranty. I will not purchase this one again!

I have had problems with mine for quite some time. My last 2 vacations involved me taking the batteries out everytime between pictures and rubbing their ends, sometimes that would help.

Won't turn on

I had this same problem! Scoured the web and found no solution. This is what I did to fix it...

Remove battery. Unplug charger. Press and hold the power button for 20 - 30 seconds. While still holding the power button, re-insert the battery and/or plug in the charger. Voila! Came back to life and worked like nothing ever happened.

I also did the same thing with the record button, but it was the power button that got the result.

Hope this helps!

Kodak easyshare digital camera MD41, lens extends and closes when start button is pressed with fully charged battery light blinks red and turns off camera

hi open the battary comparment, remove the battery and check to see if there is a small button like thing (looks something like a small horn) there if yes then, press and hold it for roughly 20 secs and release reinsert battery and try powering on this would reset the camera to original factory settings at a hardware level

(i got my other Kodak c340 to work this way)

hope this helps

When turning on camera, blinking red light and blank screen - replaced batter and charged it but still blank screen.

Hi Steven its look like Memory card or Lens error. Just try this below and let me know the result.

1. Ensure batteries are fully charged & clean the battery connector point in side the battery compartment.
2. Look carefully between the lens and the camera body for any sand, dirt or any damaged etc.
3. Try turning the camera with the lens facing down and shake to dislodge anything stuck
4. Try removing batteries and memory card, wait 5 minutes and refit the battery only.
5. Now turn on camera( with out card ) and see ,if working then fix the memory card & again turn on the camera. If working then fine . Otherwise format the memory card and fix back in camera again & try. Make sure before format the memory card take a back up all photos in your computer then format. If no luck then reset or restore the camera setting by pressing Menu key for 2 sec .. in not done the press both Menu & self time key for 2 - 4 sec.
i hope it will gives you success.

Power light just blinks when turned on

Try another battery and card. If that doesn't work, in most cases, the camera is beyond economic repair. If the camera is a few years old, buying a newer one is a better option. I'm seeing brand name 10 MP models NEW for $60. you might check online auction sites for used ones. I've picked up 5 MP ones for $5.

Should the power light be green or red, when I turn camera on it shows a green light then turns red

Red light indicates that the camera is out of charged., Try to charged your battery for 3-4 hrs if you encounter flashing red on a fully charged battery you need to call kodak 1 800 235 6325 ext 12

You can charged you camera using 5V AC Adaptor or a USB cable taht attached into the computer

Kodak C763 - fully charged battery - blue lights go and blink for a few seconds - camera will not turn on, lens does not open.

Hi-
When you say 'fully charged', is it the original battery from the camera, or another type of battery?
The description you give indicates one of three possible issues:
1. Your old battery can no longer hold a sufficient charge and though it can give enough to show activity (blue light), it may not hold enough to run the device. You may need to replace it > should be available at most retailers that sell Kodak cameras.
2. Wrong type of battery used. Check to see what type of battery the camera requires: NiCad, Lithium, etc. are all different, and not all can be used in these cameras. It's not just about the battery size.
3. Did you drop it? If so, the threads for the lense may have been damaged, not allwing it to eject from the body.
Since you bought a Kodak, you are lucky. If options 1 or 2 do not fix the problem, contact Kodak and they will usually take care of you.
Good luck!
