My panasonic PT-47WX49 will not turn on. it will make a noise like it is starting to turn on but nothing will happen.

i have a mitsubishi VS-4504R, and when i push the power button i get a click sound like it will turn on but nothing happens.

-   I have the same problem. Turn on the set, hear the click, but nothing;
no sound no video, no flashing lights. I checked all the fuses I could find.
This is an old Mitsu VS-4504R that was given to me by a friend. Beyond the fuses I don;t know anything about tv repair. Are there any simple solutions a rookie can try? Is the set worth professional repair?-   bighackr

-   tv turns on for about 10 secs long enought to see picture then goes off
have to unplug and plug back up to come on again power light does not flash it just goes out

are either one of the sets binking? If so can you count the blinks in between the pauses?

- The first things to check on a dead set is the horizontal output and regulator transistors located in the power supply.
