Question about Apple iPod nano 3rd Generation

Ipod will not connect with ITunes

When I first got my ipod, it loaded into itunes no problem. Now, after it freezing while plugged into the computer (and me fixing it, according to answers from another one of these questions {thanks}) my itunes is not recognizing my ipod. What do I do from here?

Okayy.This has happened to me too,firstly check you have the latest itunes software.

Surprisingly this can make a difference.
If nothing else works i would back up all music on a cd or memory stick,and reinstall itunes.from there everythings set as the default settings so if anything has been changed to cause itunes not recognising the ipod this may fix it.This is how i fixed mine.Hope this helps!

When i plug my ipod on to itunes it wont show up

Itunes freezing when ipod is connected


Need to reformat your ipod - don't disconnect the ipod until you hit eject - ever you should be able to use it again try a different cord and reformat then have fun cause you get to reload all the music unless you were able to save your iTunes library

ITunes screen freezes on connecting the iPod. The ipod is not detected by iTunes even in disk mode. No menu of iTunes opens up when iPod is connected


if itunes is freezing when connecting the ipod then 1 of 2 things are happening

the ipod has an error on the disk and needs to be replaced or your anti- virus is going to scan your ipod for virus and can because its an ipod -

so test your ipod with another cpu that will tell you alot

if it freezes itunes on 2 different cpu then its the ipod -if it works fine then its your anti-virus - you need to disable or remove

and download it and salect which tunes you want. If it dose not work

Hi,
First, you should use itunes for you iPod. I know that there are other programs that can let you load music on it, but you should use iTune, Really.

1. You should first download iTunes. It is free.


2. Next. Load your music into iTunes. Do all of this BEFORE you plug your iPod into the computer.

3. Connect your iPod to the computer. Use a fast USB port. These are usually located on the back of the computer.

4. Your iPod should appear in the iTune pane on the left side. You should be able to see a set of 'tabs' that you can click. The first one is about your iPod.

5. At this point, you can click on the music tab to tell the computer to load what to load into the iPod. Click 'sync' to load your music.

6. When the syncing is complete, you will see that notice above in iTunes. Click the arrow next to the iPod picture in the iTunes pane to discharge the iPod. The iPod picture will disappear. Make sure that you also safely release the iPod in the task bar at the bottom of the computer. You will need to click on a green icon that looks like a plug and select 'safely remove storage device'. Wait until the computer tells you it is safe to disconnect it. Then disconnect.

Hi,
You will need to download the latest version of iTunes. It is free. When you have done that, load all of your music into iTunes. Then connect your iPod to the computer with the internet connected. You should be able to see your iPod on the left side of iTunes. You can then click the music tab to tell itunes what music to load into your iPod.

Be sure to click the arrow next to your iPod when the syncing is finished to release your iPod from itunes. Also click the green plug icon at the bottom right of your windows screen. If you cannot see the plug, click on the white arrow until you see the green plug. Click on it and you will see your ipod listed as a mass storage device and a message asking if you want to disconnect it. Click disconnect mass storage device and wait until you see a message saying ;safe to disconnect mass storage device. Done. Hope that helps.

My Computer and iTunes does not recognize my iPod


Try this: turn off your ipod, hold the home button, and plug it into itunes while still holding the home button until a picture of the itunes symbol appears with a cable under it. itunes should say "ipod found in restore mode". This will completely reset your ipod, hopefully fixing any bugs or problems in it. also, you will lose all data saved on the ipod that isn't also backed up by itunes. Music, pictures, and video can be re-synced.
