I am writing to you from the Caribbean Island of St. Lucia seeking some assistance in finding out what might be wrong with my 3785 Vivitar camera.

I had some pics on a memory card and attempted to put them on my computer. Just then I was distracted for a moment and inadvertently unplugged the USB from the computer without closing the files. I attempted to put off the camera but it would not go off but the green light turned red and no matter how many times I tried to put it off the red light would not go out nor the camera would not work. I tried taking out the batteries and then it went off, but every time I put on the camera with the memory disc in, the camera would not work.

I still have been unable to see these pictures on the memory disc, this happen 6 months ago. I tried purchasing another disc, formatted it and still the camera refuses to work. However if there is no memory disc the camera uses it's built in memory and takes only 10 pics.

Can you help or tell me what's wrong with my camera? I would really love for you to respond to me.

My Vivicam 4000 owners manual states that only SD cards up to 256 Mb are supported.

The above comment is incorrect, but I could not find a way to edit it after I submitted it,

The maximum SD memory supported is 512 MB,
