Log on to windows. open task manager. go to process tab. click on explorer.exe. click on end process and confirm it. now click on file--> new. click on browse. browse to the folder where you had dmcr.exe. click on dmcr.exe and click ok. All your green/blue/red dots will disappear and you will start to enjoy the game. type this and save as a batch file(cmd) place in game dir and run
problem solved also works for AOE 2 just replace dmcd.exe with aoe exe file
