Weller soldering gun light bulbs burned out
That takes a common 6volt screw in type bulb you can buy at most radio shacks or parts stores
I have the Weller 8200 100/140 watt gun, and I measured the voltage at the bulb socket at 1.9 volts AC. A 1.5 volt bulb might work, but have a short life. A 3 volt bulb would be a very safe choice. A 6 volt bulb would run about 1/4 of it's stated wattage (brightness) in this gun.
Power = (voltage^2/resistance), so operating at 1/2 voltage gives 1/4 power.
I searched though my spare bulb collection and came across a 2.25 Volt bulb that is ideal. You want to use one that has the lens built into the end of the bulb so the light acts like a spotlight and not a floodlight. This is the bulb I use, can be found for less than a dollar.
