Question about Cisco 878 SDSL Security Bundle with Plus Feature Set Router (CISCO878SECK9)
We are having an issue with Cisco 878 4-wire configuration. It is kind of randon that some of the service are unable to sync. up at line rate of 4608 and since we can't sent the line-rate to Auto we have no opther option tghan hard coding the line speed on the DSL controller 0 which seems to me a lot inefficient. Could anyone help me solve this. I am including the DSL controller 0 config
controller DSL 0
line-mode 4-wire enhanced
dsl-mode shdsl symmetric annex B
Just a suggestion, there are free modem firmware updates from cisco's FTP site to most 800 series routers. The firmware also get updated with a major IOS release, have you tried?
just download the correct one, instructions are on the site to download. Basicaly you rename the file and save it onto your flash. the check with "sh dsl int" in enable mode, it will list the FW as "external" source. When renamed or deleted, you are back to the original.
hope that will help.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
