After a while, the battery becomes slightly loose, so battery connection is intermittent. Simply put a small wedge (small piece of cardboard) at the top of the battery compartment, so that when you renisert the battery, it forces a tight connection on the bottom connector. I have fixed 5 phones this way. Intermittent connection causes the blutooth to drop, and battery to appear to not hold a charge well. THIS IS SO SIMPLE, yet nobody knows about this! It's worked on EVERY VX-8700 I've tried it on.

I recently went to the verizon store with this same concern, one of the associates told me that the lgvx8700 is known to have bluetooth connectivity problems. The best solution may just be to have the phone replaced. They ordered me a new one (refurbished i guess) and I will receive it within two days, hopefully the problem will be solved.

I have had the same problem and finally Chrsyler admitted to me (Jeep Grand Cherokee 2008) that there is a software problem between Uconnect and LG 8700 phones.

I have the same problem. Is extremely frustrating. Especially when there are times when I can connect and it stays connected for many consecutive calls. But if I turn off the jawbone OR phone. Its a less then 50% chance I will have the same success. I keep hoping for some sort of LG8700 fix.

A friend of mine had same issue with Jawbone and Treo smartphone. Switched to a Motorola Razr (For many other issues) and jawbone works perfectly.

Dropped my LG 8700 phone, and now it just keeps "searching for Service" Everything else seems to be working ok. Any suggestions?

If you're encountering this kind of problem on your phone then

all you have to do is powercycle your phone. You can do that by

removing the battery while the phone is on.After 15 seconds

kindly reinsert the battery and turn the phone on again. If you

still have the same error message then kindly go to a different

location because it might be that the phone is not getting a good

reception. And if you still have the same problem then kindly

contact your service provider because its a probable issue with

the network,not with the phone.

Bought a new battery for my vz 8700 LG,installed, charged, now I have no screen, but the phone will send and receive calls.

I think the problem is not about the battery.

The connector which connects the display to the central PCB is either disconnected or broken.

If you have some experience with phones you can open it and check it by yourself.

If the connector is fine and connected properly then check your display if it is working fine.

you may have to replace the display in this case.

Thank you

Can't connect my jawbone with my phone

I found this on another website and it worked for me.

"I was also having a lot of difficulty getting my Jawbone II or "new Jawbone" into pairing mode. I finally ended up carefully removing the outer plastic shield. It popped off without breaking anything and then I was able to easily press BOTH the noise shield button AND the talk button. With the plastic cover OFF, I was able to put my Jawbone into pairing mode on the FIRST TRY! "

Compatibility with LG VX8700 - connects but won't work when button pressed

Seems I may have the same problem, I just returned the first Jawbone, second one is displaying the same problem - it pairs but then won't recognize or interact. Sad if it's my phone.
