How do i go about replaceing my washing machine belt

If your machine is a front loader, then you will need to remove the rear panel, normally this is just a screwdriver requirement. make sure you take your old belt as the supplier will require the numbers from it to ensure you get the correct size. There are many different belts. Place the belt onto motor shaft and then onto drum pully wheel as far as it will go. You then need to rotate the drum by hand to feed the belt onto the wheel. After you have done this you may need to line the belt up by moving it across the grooves on the motor spindle. to do so again move the drum pully around and at same time move belt across the motor pully groves until belt runs central on drum pully. This may seem awkward but you will be suprised how easy it really is.Also it will save you a fortune by doing this yourself

Belt came off hotpoint washer

hello mam
before trying please check the belt tension. and if you inspect the threads are visible on the belt which will be seated on the pully please change the belt and to put it back
1.plase the belt into the motor pully first. and then using a screwdriver hold the belt into the drum pully slowly rotate the drum as you rotate the drum you should hold the belt along the pully.

Hotpoint wf240 replacment of belt, i cant get it on.

Hi, put the belt on the bottom pully and feed the rest up to the top pully, fit the belt on to half of the top pully, now open the door of the washer and very carefuly turn the drum while holding the belt tight to the pully, take care not to get your fingers trapped, make sure that the belt stays on both pullys by rotating the drum by hand a few times, if it all looks ok and central then the jobs a good un.

WASHING MACHINE DRUM WILL NOT TURN

There is no adjustment provided for lining up the pulleys.
If it comes off then there are a couple of reasons that come to mind, the belt is too slack, the belt is worn, the drum is out of alignment with the motor pulley, caused by worn drum bearings, the motor is loose, a loose drum pulley, or you are not lining the belt up properly, overloading can also throw the belt off.
Hope this helps.
Plz leave feedback.
Ta.
