Screen problems with Samsung DynaFlat 32" tv

I have a Samsung DynaFlat 32" TV. It cuts off the picture on the left and right, mostly the left. I have searched extensivly for a way to adjust this with the remote but have not found anything to help. I have tried the "P.SIZE" button and searched the menu button but have not found a fix as of yet. I know on my desktop computer I can adjust the picture to extend out to the edge of the tube but find no option as of yet. Please help me. Thanks!

I have only had Dish Network and just today started Direct TV. This problem seems to be a TV issue. Does not matter what the input is, always cuts off edges off.

Basicaly, the picture does not go all the way to the edge. almost an inch short on the left, about 1/2 inch on the right. 1/8th in the bottom and 3/8's to 1/2 on top.

I do not have a HD receiver. Just a regular satellite box.

My Samsung DLP TV's pictures are flickering on the regular screen, but pictures are fine in PIP mode. How do you explain that phenom?

Set uses two tuners, one for regular and one for PIP. If normal with DVD OR SOMETHING INTO REAR INPUTS, MAIN TUNER IS PROBLEM

Black lines in tv

Most likely there are electrolytic capacitors in the power supply, video path, and scan amplifiers that are starting to fail from age. This is common in many of these sets. In consideration of the age of the set, this may not be worth having it serviced.

Horizontal centering is performed in the service menu. Beware! You can mess up a lot of stuff in this menu.

Samsung HCN4727W Rear Projection TV, green screen, audio works

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai2_bing.gif,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get more information and a DIY convergenece repair kit with instructions from the link below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

Problem #1) Convergence

Yours may have one or more of the following symptoms...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2 - Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture

Tv won't stay on

I suspect that the picture may be bit wider than it should be, making some of the image go off the screen.
There are some simple repairs that can be made to that set to remedy the problem. ( part replacements)
However this needs to be done preferably by an factory authorized service facility as we are.

Black line

I just had this problem with my Samsung 50' DLP HLR5067WX/XAA. Fortunatly it was still under warranty with Best Buy, so they fixed it for me. They had to order a brand new light engine. (or where the mirrors are, if i'm not using the right terminalogy) He said the problem is with one of the mirrors that has slipped (or slipping because overtime the black line will get thicker and thicker). I hope i'm saying it right, but it was with a tiny mirror that was slipping. Hope it's under warranty. I've also had 1x component plug burn out on me, my HDMI port went to ****, and he's gotta come back out because when he made the repair, the picture was reflecting too high up and to the left. (MLB 2k7 for xbox 360 - scores on top of screen are about 1/4th cut off). He said is next trip back to my house would result in me getting a new TV, so can't wait for his arrival! good luck with your tv
