Hi, what is the difference between dsr and av

The main difference is the number of connections available it is possible as long as 15 ports is sufficient for your needs since the dsr2035 is a 32 port switch

I have a KVM autoview 3100 and suddenly there is no power light showing in it, but the 4th, 8th, 12th & 16th lights are on, and if I press the CTRL as usual nothing happens

Anyone know the problem/solution to this? Mine just started doing this tonight. I unplugged all connections, and even let it sit for probably at least a good half hour with the power cord out too. Upon plugging it back in and throwing the switch back to the on position, the power light does not go on (on the back), but the lights on the front of the unit illuminate for KVM ports 4, 8, 12, 16, and the LAN - LINK; L.E.D.'s... This is regardless of the fact that nothing is plugged into the unit except the power cord... I am really hoping the unit is not fried! I also know it's not the (external) fuse, because I popped that out just to double check and ofc the unit wont 'attempt' to power on whatsoever with no (or a blown) fuse. It also may be worth noting that the two fans in the rear do also still spin up too.

Mouse speed is too fast. Can't control it. The mouse is a laser mouse made by Dell

Go into your control panel and under Mouse Options. Go to Pointer Options, and disable Enhanced Pointer Precision

Hope that helps

Are you using any software that communicates with that Switch? As far as I can remember of the top of my head, that switch doesn't have a Web interface.

Our controlled equipment works with an AMIQ-USB on an AMX 5010 w/ AMX 5130 system, but when using an AVRIQ-USB on an AutoView 3016 the mouse only moves up and down, not left and right. Holding down one of...

You are using the wrong IQ module, the AV is used for AutoView were the AMIQ is used for AMX systems.

Always check the first 2 letters of the IQ module, that will indicate for which appliance that module is or intended to.

ex. DSAVRIQ will work on DSRs, AutoViews, and the newer Mergepoint Unity

The DSRIQ works with DSRs and Mergepoint Unity

HMIQSHDI work only for HMX systems and in this case only on HMX1070

Thanks

NO POWER

you need an RMA, I would call Avocent's tech support and request an RMA. Eventhough that your unit might be out of warranty, they issue Out of Warranty RMAs against a fee.

I hope that helps.

How do I reset the password on my Avocent AutoView® 2015 KVM Switch

I believe there is a reset button somewhere on that unit that you can press to just do a quick reset of it. If you hold that button down, you should be able to reset the settings on it, including your password. Hope this helps.

I hope this helps you.
