Try typing the full address in a normal Word document, then select the entire address, then choose 'Mailings' tab, then 'Envelopes' on the left, then 'Add to Document.' Be sure to type in your return address before pressing: 'OK.'

Envelope orientation wrong for # 10 envelopes

It may be necessary to go back to the initial set up and make sure landscape printing has been selected. Also, envelope feed orientation could be a factor.

I want to print on lower left corner of envelope, how? I will print which office to direct mail. Probably 50 envelopes at a time.

Go to the screen where you address envelopes.

Select OPTIONS

See the Delivery Address Font Option. There is a drop down to select the distance FROM LEFT. That means from the left side of the envelope. Set that to a low distance.

How do I change line spacing from double to single spacing? Whenever I commence to write a letter the second line is at double spacing as are all succeeding lines. How do I get it to single spaced lines?

Open a NEW, CLEAN document. Alter all the paragraph setting until you get them exactly as you want them.

Now the tricky part.

Save the document as a TEMPLATE and save to a folder you are familiar with. Give it a good name and below that on the dialog box, choose TEMPLATE (file type dotx)

Next time you need to type a letter with single spacing, open that template. When you go to save it, Word will prompt you for a file name as a docx, thus preserving your template for another day.

Hi, I print a business letter in word2007 & every time, the inside address block is double spaced. So is the address heading.

Hi,

I checked my Microsoft Word 2007 for a resolution I almost messed up but fortunately I figured it out. Highlight the portion that's double spaced and on top of the MS-Word document select the No Spacing option as shown on the image below.

Why are the footnotes in my word document double spaced? How can I get them to be single spaced?

By default, when you type your footnotes, you are using the default setting of the footnote template you are using. However, to manually change it simply "Edit" your footnote, click the HOME menu group and click the "No Spacing" block.

Word 2007

Dear Hayr, you might like to go to formatting and then set line spacing. Decrease it and you would be able to shorten the distance between text.

If that was helpful please press fixya.

Need to Know fully info about Macros

Macro is a simple way to automate tasks in Microsoft Office programs. It allows advanced users to program or create their own commands in Office, thereby automating tasks. For example, a user might want to create a table with four values already in them. The user could create one, and then copy it, and paste it. However, when you restart your computer, that data is lost. Unless you open the old document and copy the table, you'll have to start all over again. Macros helps you do your tasks. By recording the table creation to a macro, creating the same table over and over is just a simple macro away.
