Write the expression in radicant exponent the given is square root of 81 what is the answer and the solution.

I come up with 3. (81^(1/2))^(1/2)=3. the Simplest form. I used 81^(1/2) because, 81 looks like 81 to the first power, instead of a fraction.

TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on at all. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

How do i do fractions on my TI 81 calculator

Hello.

If your TI has a MATH button, select it.

Under Math, Function 1 is fractions and Function 2 is decimals

For example, 2/3 plus 2/3 ...

2 - / - 3 - + - 2 - / - 3 = 1.33333333
2nd - ANS - MATH - 1 = 4/3

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately the TI-81, unlike later models, does not have this capability built-in. You'll have to find and load a program to do this.

I JUST GOT MY ti-8today and don't know how to use it

To do fractions, input like this:
(1/3)+(4/9)
Granted the answer is a decimal... But you should be able to convert that to a fraction using what you've learned in math class.

PI sign: Just press [2nd]and then[^]. And voila, instant π! Exponent:enter more complicated expressions involving exponents using parentheses and the negative sign.
