Ok, We bought a deep freeze from our neighbors for $100. It is a HCMO73PA Haier 7.3 Cu. Ft. Capacity with Fast Freeze.
We do not have the key for the lock, and there are two buttons on the front bottom right of the freezer that we do not know what they do..and one of the lights are off and we dont know if that is a bad thing and how to fix it if it is.. There is a orange and a green light. The orange light has been on since we plugged it in and now it is off, I think my son turned it off but now we cant get it to turn back on and we dont even know if it is supossed to be on..
Any ideas? I went to Haier.com and you have to a username and password to search their product information and there is no link to register at their site..

If you have run it in a tilted position, the oil has migrated from the compressor to the evaporator. You need a technician to flush the oil back to the compressor. Only run equipment like this on a flat level surface. and always allow to stand a few hours after moving before switching on.
You only require fast freeze if you are using the freezer for the first time, after a defrost, or if you add a large quantity of fresh food to an already running freezer. Most freezers require about eight hours at fast freeze. As to the temperature setting I would suggest you purchase a purpose built freezer thermometer (very cheap) and place that on top of the food. With the thermostat control set mid way (about 3 or 4) check the thermometer occasionally see what the temperature reads. It should be around -18C, if it's lower then set the thermostat lower at 2-3, if its higher set the thermostat higher at 4-5. Repeat this until the freezer temperature is correct.
Well hello...on your freezer...the orange switch is for "fast freeze" and should not be on constantly...only when you want to freeze items really fast.If you have it on...turn it off. Also do you have the temp control set at maximum...If so...try to reduce the seting by one number. If not...leave it as is.Give the freezer about 24 hours to re stablize. That should do it...also...you will notice a reduction in your electric bill as the fast freeze switch causes the unit to draw a greater amount of electricity..MAKE SURE the orange switch is off...I hope this was helpful....PEACE...
