I have two computors connected to Zyxel P660HW - one wired connection and one wireless. Each connects to the internet successfully. However, when the wireless computor is connected to the internet the wired computor does not connect. Any thoughts how I can overcome this? I have tried connecting to each wired connection on the router but stiil the same the wirelss connection locks out the wired connection.

what is the laptop's ip address when on wireless ? default gateway ? subnet mask ? when connected on wireless ?
what are these when connected to cat5 ethernet cable ?
Is the default gateway different ?
is the ip address within the network address ? 10.0.0.3 to 10.0.0.254 or 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.254 ?
the first three digits should the same
what is the wireless ip address is it the same as the network router or different ?
What is the dhcp leases are they conflicting with the main router and wi fi router ?
When you defined the name for Wireless connection with you new router, did you give it a new name? If this is a case then you can delete the old name in your available wireless network list in your lap top so it won't go back to the default one which is the old one, then you are all set.
i had the same problem too with my'n. My issue was on of my setting's was set to block that wi-fi connection. Try switching your setting for finding internet connection from automatic to manual. that should do the trick!
Problem with the Zyxel P-660? I experienced:
1. laptop would see the wireless 660HW briefly and then it would disappear.
2. laptop would not see wireless at all.
3. same issue with desktop when using USB wireless 11g dongle
4. no problem on wired connection (ethernet)
EASY solution! if Zyxel is set to scan for a channel it will want to work on channel 13 nearly every time in a busy environment.
HP laptops and many receivers cannot recieve on 13 - highest channel is 12.
Pick on setting for the Zyxel which matches an available channel on your receiver. Problem solved.
If a LAN connected PC will not work while a wireless laptop is connected you need to go into advanced router setup, bandwidth management, and untick the three boxes labeled "active" to disable the band width management. Easy!
I had an almost identical problem and contacted Tech support at Zyxel. They were excellent and the guy talked me through to a solution. The main issue related to 'Bandwith management' which defaults to active on the router configuration. Unset all three (Wan, Lan, Wlan) and see if it sorts out problem. Because of some other issues I did have to reset the router to start with and on the wireless client I unset 'Obtain IP address automatically' and used an IP address with the default gateway set to the router address. If this does not help, I would recommend talking to Zyxel Tech Support, the consultant I spoke to was brilliant.
