Good Afternoon Esmond, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!
The serial tag of your range, which lists your model number, may be found in the storage drawer, on the right side or on the front of the oven, in the upper left corner, as you open the door. I hope this information proves useful.
Serial number labels are usually located in any one of a number of places -
Under the cooktop in one of the corners Inside the oven door frame (not on the door) Behind the bottom drawer pullout on the oven, left hand side Oven back.
If this unit is anything less than 20 years old, there will be a label somewhere.
Reply back you findings and I can give you more information as to how to repair, and we can identify part numbers. You might also try www.repairclinic.com and see if you can drill down through parts when only knowing the manufacturer.
We were able to solve the problem by accident. As I think I mentioned the door must of locked when we were cleaning the control panel. Anyway the door locked and the burners would not ignite. The door was open so you were not able to shut it to try and clear it. I searched the owners manual, there were no solutions as to how to reset the Range. I even checked the manufacture's web site. I got down to inspect the door and ran my hand along the inside edge of the oven and there was a button on a spring. I pushed on it and there was a hum and the latch opened and the Range must have reset. It's working perfect now.
what do you mean locked accidently if if the door is locked and 3hrs is on the display hit start then cancel if the door showes locked and is not (you can still open the door)push in on the door switch by hand and push cancel let me know
Check the door lock switch/solenoids. You'll have to unplug the range/stove. Remove the solenoid and check to see if it has continuity or if the solenoids are stuck.
You also might have luck resetting the clean cycle. Even though the lock is engaged, try to open the oven door a little. Start the clean cycle, then cancel it.
