Question about Panasonic KX TGA400B Cordless Expansion Handset
I have had this problem multiple times. It is apparently a flaw with the keypad on the phone. The keypad emits too much oil and causes it to stop working. I've sent my phone in twice to get the keypad replaced (there are companies selling replacement pads on ebay), otherwise, I've just learned to take my phone apart, wipe off the contacts and it works fine.

Yes that is a common problem, and you can send your handsets in for repair with a number of options. There is Panasonic in McClellan Texas that is of course the most expensive, and I believe they exchange your handset with another. Then there are independent facilities that are less expensive and sometimes better, where you normally get back the handset you send in but repaired/refurbished, etc. But you do get what you pay for, just like everything else. You can do a google search for "Panasonic Cordless Telephone Repair" and go from there. There are repair deals for full refurbishing, new plastic, new batteries all included to fully freshen up your phone if it needs more than the buttons fixed, you merely need to ask if you think you want to go that route. Good Luck, CG
