It sounds to me like you have not installed the correct driver for this video adapter. Go into Device Manager (right click on My Computer, select properties, select the Hardware tab, and then click on Device Manager) and then expand the Display Adapters section and see what it says.

Unable to install on screen display after windows 7 installation

What do you mean unable to install on screen display? Are you saying your screen is blank?

Maybe you need to reinstall the video drivers.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "IBM Support" or "Lenovo Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Video drivers.

If you are saying that the system boots up and everything seems to be running except the screen is blank then try the steps below.

Shine a flashlight on the dark screen to see if you barely see the icons on the desktop. If so, then the LCD Inverter is bad.

Plug in an external monitor and see if the display shows up on it. It can be any kind of monitor even the old big fat crt monitors as long as it has a vga cable to connect to your computer's vga port. If so that proves your video card is ok. The video will show on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

If you see no icons by shinning a flash light and the external monitor works, then your screen is bad. If you see no icons by shinning the flash light and nothing shows on the external monitor, then most likely your video card is bad.

I have a CQ60-615DX and when I turn it on the screem is black, so what is the problem.

When you turned it on does it seem like the laptop booted up all the way except the screen is black? Do you hear the fan running, the hard drive spinning and everything seems to be ok except the screen is black?

The input jack to recharge my battery has bad connection

YES. This seems to be a common problem. I am just researching doing this with my Gateway.
Things to remember.
1) Shops which do this have the parts to do it right.
2) You might get a better price if you remove the motherboard and just send the mother board for soldering.
3) AND THIS IS VITAL. Some jacks are soldered in such that power is delivered to both sides of the motherboard using a copper sleeve. If you try this at home, you might not get the connection right.
Sorry for the bad news - talk to a shop which can do the repair. I saw prices of $90-$130 for everything except the shipping of course. . .

My Medion MIM 2300 Notebook PC MD 96648 is

Your best bet is to hope it goes up in flames then you can claim off your insurance, the problem can't be fixed.
I have the same machine but with mine it got hot and the graphics processor has burnt out, it seems to be common with this model.
I can't even connect to an external monitor as everything to do with the VGA is fried and Medion support are useless.
I'll never buy a Medion again even though my previous two going back 8 years still work if somewhat slow.

Missing Operating System

Hi!

Dont worrie M8, all files can be saved if the disk is ok
I suggest you run the installation again, but when it comes to reinstall or repaire you select "REPAIRE", then the os will try to repair your system and not reinstall it, that will keep all things on the disk. If that dosent work you have to remove the disk, connect it to another pc/laptop and move the files she dont want to loose. Then put the disk back and reinstall it from the begining.
If you dont know how to connect it to another pc or have the needed cables to do it, i sugest you take the disk to a pc-repaire shop and ask them to help you save the files. They will copy all the files you want and store them on a cd/dvd/memostick. They can even tace a copy of the whole disk if you want.

Good luck

Ze5185 operating system not found

Could be a sign that hard drive is failing or a problem with Windows. Do you hear any strange noises, clicks?

Try re-installing Windows and see if that helps.

Thanks!

Dell Inspiron 6000 monitor display problem

Well it is most likely a issue with the Video driver as you are able to boot to the safe mode.I would suggest going back to the safe mode and deleting the present driver for the video from the device manager.before you restart the system just download the latest version from the support.dell.com so that you can reinstall it.Also check in the graphic properties which screen is set to be the defuat.Incase still not working i would suggest reinstalling the operating system before replacing any hardware.
