Zebra 105 SE Printing Blank Labels

Hello,

I was asked to print to a Zebra 105 SE Thermal Transfer printer from a Microsoft Access Report and all i'm getting is blank labels. The printer is working through a dos based program right and seems to be fine working that way. I'm using the Zebra 105SL (300dpi) driver currently. When the label prints, the thermal transfer does not seem to be doing anything (the ribbon doesn't seem to move). Any ideas? Is it possible to print from a windows based program like Word with different fonts or am I only able to print using printer commands?

Thanks,

Mike

I am printing from a Labelview program to Zebra 105Se and it prints blank labels. I am printing from Windows XP and have printer installed with 105SL (200dpi) drive.

    Any ideas why?

I got the 105se driver from seagull and it advanced the label but printed nothing until I increased the darkness setting under options about 50 % from normal. The defualt darkness level is very low on the two drivers I have used from them.

Seagull Scientific has drivers. Their Zebra driver is recommended by many.

That's the link for their printer drivers page. Go to the bottom and click on 'Download a printer driver'. Then scroll the list to find the one you need.

You need the correct driver for the 105Se. The 300 dpi SL driver is not compatible.

Unfortunately, Zebra does not make it's older drivers available online. You will need to locacte someone with the correct driver for whichever version of Windows you are using.

Warning ribbon in V53.16.7Z

The "ribon in" warning is because you set the printer to print DIRECT THERMAL insted THERMAL TRANSFER. The first mode is for printing directly on the thermal labels, not for using a ribon. The ribon sensor detects that a ribon is pressent and you get this message. You need to change the printing mode to Thermal Transfer from the printer Setup Menu, or from the Print Driver instaled on PC.

I am using a Zebra S4M Thermal printer with Zebra brand labels. I changed out the roll of labels with a new roll and it will not print. It completed the task like it always does but i only get a blank...

The new labels are probably not thermal labels. Test them by applying heat to the surface and see if they turn black. If they do not change, then they are thermal transfer labels and not direct thermal. Contact your label vendor and have them replaced.

PRINTER IS NOT PRINTING rUNS NORMASL JUST NOT PRINTING

Check the settings. If the printer is set for thermal DIRECT and you have thermal transfer labels, this will be the result. Thermal direct requires thermal sensitive labels. Thermal transfer requires a ribbon.

Hope this helps,

Loftware labels printing off staggered.

Most reasons for this is a slight adjustment problem with page length. You can recalibrate the printer via the menu system, doing it this way will adjust the sensors with new settings

TLP 2844 skips 15-16 labels then prints intended label

It sounds like they may need to set their "Q" values for the labels they are using.   If that isn't it, we may need more info - are they using Zebra brand or custom labels?
To start with, I would ask them to try adding these "Q" value commands: q456 Q152,24
If that doesn't work, then maybe they can provide the other info mentioned above so we can understand the problem better.

Your problem is a computer configuration issue, not a printer problem.

Without knowing any details of your system configuration, it is impossible to offer and further advice.
