I had phrased the previous question with typo errors

When any electrical item doesn't work after being moved, suspect some kind of physical cause. Such as a bad soldering joint or other damage inside caused by an unknown bang or jolt during the move. Perhaps even an alien object inside like a metal pin etc.

Protect light on amplifier

Oh dear! Protection system has detected a short in the main power amp. The water has caused a great deal of damage. You will have to replace all the parts that have been damaged. Your nose will lead you to where to look.

Every time I use Samson xpl amplifier It shuts off after playing for about 10 minutes do you think what's the problem?

Heat.

Generally speaking, an amp protects itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Check for loose speaker connections at the speaker as a root cause for intermittent shutdown.

Hi, i have been suggested first a Samson servo 600, then a sx1200 is there a difference between the 2? is one better than the other?

the servo series is geared more towards studio applications and/or installs, while the sx series are geared for live pa applications. the servo 600 is 300 watts per channel @ 4 ohm, and the sx1200 is 450 watts per channel at 4 ohms. the sx amp can also be bridged over to mono mode, where it puts out, i think, 1100 watts mono.

the only variable i havent been able to cover is sound quality, and im not seeing those listings in the specs on the samson website
