Chances are, the operating system is corrupt.

Solution 1
1. Restart the computer, before entering the windows, press F8 to open the Windows Advanced Options Menu.
2. To enter the windows, select Last Known Good Configuration - enter. If that fails, repeat the process, select the Directory services restore mode. If that fails, repeat the process, select the Debugging mode.
3. After successfully entering the windows, press START - All programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore. Restore to a date when the computer is in normal condition.



Solution 2 (if the above solution fails)
Repair windows operating system with a bootable CD

Windows XP
1. Insert the bootable operating system CD, and restart
2. Perform booting from the CD room - Enter
3. Press enter - F8 - press R to repair the operating system
4. Wait until the process is complete. Finish



Windows Vista or Seven
1. Insert the bootable operating system CD, and restart
2. Perform booting from the CD room - Enter
3. Select Repair your computer - System Restore. If that fails, repeat the process 1, 2
4. Select Repair your computer - CompletePC restore. Restore a computer from CompletePC Backup Image.



Solution 3 (only for Win XP)
When done repair the operating system, drive C is detected: unknown or not formatted, it means the C drive for bad sectors.

To fix hard disk bad sectors, use the software HDD Regenerator bootable CD.

insert the bootable disk into your cd ROM.Restart the Laptop and goto your bios setup to change the first boot to CD/DVD ROM.save it and exit.it will ask you to press any key to boot from CD/DVD ROM.press and follow the wizard instruction

It may caused by the curreption(deletion) of important system files,
You can format and reinstall xp,vista,win 7,linux,mac os .
Restart computer when booting goes on press F5 Or DEL key to goto bios setup menu change boot order to first cd drive then hdd
PressF10 and press Y and enter.
computer will restart
Insert xp,vista,win 7,linux,mac os cd.
Press enter to boot from cd
Follow the instructions
Then your problem will solve.

installing windows 95 on your pc would require you to have a bootable disk (either a floppy or cd)
insert your bootable disk and go to bios settings --> once you start your desktop pc, press Del key
then go to Boot menu and select your frist boot to floppy or cd (wherever your bootable disk is) then exit and save changes.
once your pc boots from the bootable disk goto C:
then make a directory (let's say Win95) --> C:\md win95
then press enter
then goto that directory which you've just created ---> C;\cd win95
then press enter
then copy your windows 95 disk on this directory
once you finished copy, run setup
be sure to remove your bootable disk the next time your pc restarts or change the boot sequence (again in Bios settings) to your harddrive as first boot
