Question about Computers & Internet
I had a Celeron 700MHz 256MB SDRAM 60GB HDD Desktop PC. Things were working fine but I needed a faster processor. So I bought a Desktop PC having the following config: P4, 2.4GHz, 512MB DDR2 RAM, 80GB HDD, Intel 845GL Chipset/MotherBoard, Realtek AC'97 Sound chip.
I find that the sound -- regardless of the type of media file played (MP3, MPG movie, WMV, any games, MIDI, WAV, etc.) is faster and also high pitched than what it should normally be. Its sounds like when a person inhales helium and then speaks. Even the music is fast & High Pitched. I tried uninstalling & re-installing the drivers, downloading codecs & installing them & umpteen number of things but I'm now tired of going through all this. Could anyone please post me a correct & proven solution to my problem. Keep in touch on my -mail address i.e. firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. Thanks.
P.S.: Please be quick...
