This error is usually caused by out of date firmware. The printer is getting commands from a program like Acrobat it does not understand. Click thi slink to go to support page for your printer. Drivers Software Firmware for HP LaserJet P3005 Printer series Download the current firmware, I suggest the easy firmware update which is the first option, and then run that file.
This means the memory test process failed due to a bad module. DIMM ( Dual In-line Memory Module ) is the memory of your printer. It is really similar to computer RAM (memory).
If the printer is under warranty I would contact the manufacturer for a repair/replacement. If it is not, I would still contact them and get further information on what DIMM you would need to purchase to replace the bad one.
Hope this helps!
Dimm 0 is the memory that is onboard the Format board, you can't just replace it like a memory upgrade where you would add another dimm. You would have to replace the whole format board, part number Q7848-61006. cost all depends on how much you shop around.
The most common place for these to squeak is the fuser, usually a bushing that holds the lower (pressure) roller has failed and the shaft is grinding against the frame of the fuser. Grinding will usually occur shortly after. You need to remove the fuser and examine where the lower roller's shaft comes out to the gear for bushing wear. Then you can replace the fuser with a rebuilt, or replace the right and left bushings if you want to tear down the fuser. Another squeak can come from a toner having bad bushings allowing the drum to rub the plastic housing of the toner. Yet another could be the bushings holding the final roller shaft for the exit bin, requires removal of the top,
Service manual can be downloaded at feedroller.com - down the left nav bar at the bottom is a link to manuals.
It would not surprice me if you have a defective formatter board. This is a very commen problem with this machine. Officialy you have to replace the formatterboard but there is also an other way to fix it. Put the formatterboard in to a preheated oven 190 degrees Celcius (350 fahrenheit) for 8 minutes. 8 out of 10 times it works fine fine and the machine is up and running. If this does not work you still can replace the formatterboard.
