Do you have a video card or is it onboard?

Have you tryed resetting the CMOS?

Do you get any warnings "audio/leds"?

Is there a bios post screen or anything at all at any point?

Try a different Video/Graphics Card. Or try taking out the one you have "if you have one" and then putting it firmly back into the slot.

When you answer above questions I may be able to provide another cause, good luck,

    Reeves

Tomcat100,
Your PC has an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator, Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 90 Up to 64 MB shared video RAM. In other words it's not removable but built into the board.
Ram that is taken from your system memory. What is real good is that you have, 1 PCI Express x16 Slots (open). Which means you can disable the onboard video & use the PCIE video card. If you feel that the system is running as you mentioned, adding a PCIE woulb be a logical next step. I'll suggest a PCIE listed at the link below.

This card comes with a Lifetime warranty & a great price.

M93p suddenly the screen goes black screen

Here's some tricks I would try...
1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or orange or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.

Good luck

How do I enter setup?

Setup is usually entered by pressing the delete button or F2 (or F1 .. it depends on your computer..) during the boot-up process.

However, as you say there's absolutely nothing on your monitor which you know works, suggests that the fault lies elsewhere. If there's nothing at all on your monitor it may be a failed video card/chip.

I take it that your computer actually powers up even though you can see nothing on the monitor?

If you can, try another video card in your computer. If the monitor then works, you know it is the old video card/chip at fault.

If, after trying a replacement video card and there's still nothing on the monitor, you'll have to suspect a motherboard fault.

My computer turns on but the screen remains black. What should I do?

Hello,

The problem can be solved by these steps
1) Check the Video connector properly connected to PC
2) Monitor power supply cable fault
3) The VGA card is not working properly
4) The screen resolution is set to higher than the monitor supported resolution limit
The Best way to solve it replace monitor and see it is working properly
In case the monitor still stay blank you should check the VGA card

Try to start cmos setup and see whether the monitor still remains blank then it's VGA problem

Lenovo ADD2 DVI-D Riser Card display issue

No, not really you just need to move and/or setup any video for the monitor you want to be displayed. You are doing everything right except assigning which folders or files need to be seen on which monitor. all of this can be done within the properties manager for the video. Depending on your system this can be located just about anywhere in the dialouge box. But, you should be able to drag and drop what files you want to display. I this was helpful because you are on the right track. Also visit the Dell tutorial for more information with streaming video to watch and you will be alright after that. If not contact me here.

Good Luck

best guess is the monitor is bad. Try replacing the monitor first.

Black screen not booting

check both your power and video connections to the monitor, sounds more like a monitor power issue.
if the connections appear ok, but screen still blank, try connecting a known good working monitor from somewhere else and see if it works with your pc, if it does, your original monitor is faulty, if it doesn't, you have a pc video issue.

Computer turns on, but there is no display on monitor.

The builtin video card is probably bad. Yes, you can get a PCI video card.

Moniter dosent work

I have been fixing one for a customer. At first I thought that it was the typical burned out powersupply. Delta Electronics has created a replacement. The old REV 00 is 185 watts peak. The new REV01 is 185 nominal. Was the shaggy067 did not take the time to look up is that the 610 is an "All in one" modular monitor/case.
This customers is the first one that I have replace the power supply and it still does not work. I believe the flourescent backer of the LCD1.gif is shot. I will not know for sure until I find another one. The S-video works fine, so I am testing it using my projector. Everything works except the lcd panel.
check out http://www.32oz.com/mirror/Gateway_610/ for how to disassemble and replace the power supple. By the power supply from http://www.skyline-eng.com/ and not from the crooks on ebay1.gif. They are the only authorized rebuilders of the power supplies.
