Your best option is to start with the software supplier.
I have used some of the older versions of this software and I was not all that impressed as i too had some issues but more to do with printing and the C&P functions.
You dont say which version of windows 7 home basic, home, pro etc. BUT windows 7 does have a compatibility mode that does allow you to run a program as if it was running under XP, Vista etc. you may want to explore that option
Go to the windows HELP option and type in "program compatability" From there you should be able to get along and see if the program needs anything else or will run under a particular mode.
Note that you may have to try more than one mode until you find one that works.
You may be able to get it to work by installing it in compatability mode. Right click on the install file and choose windows 98 on the compatability tab.
You could also use a virtual machine, you could load a copy of windows 98 and then use your program in the VM.
There are free Virtual machine programs, but you would need a valid copy of win 98
This is a Windows 98 program. Try installing it using the compatibility feature of WIN7. Right click on the startup program on the CD, select install as administrator, right click again and select properties, install as W98 compatible.
This might work but some of these older programs just won't work with Vista or Win7. I didn't find any updated spiritual expressions software. It looks like it is no longer made.
Also you didn't say if you're running 32bit or 64bit Win7. Be aware that 64bit does not support 16bit programs. Given the age of spiritual expressions, it is probably 16bit code. No way will it run on a 64bit OS. My above suggestion will only work with 32bit Win7.
There are a few scrap booking programs that will work with Vista. If you already have the Scrapbooks Plus you may want to try running it in compatibility mode. To change the mode do the following:
Right click the programs icon
Select the compatibility tab
Check the "Run this program in compatibility mode" box
From the drop down menu select Windows XP
Click Apply then Ok
Try running the program again.
The compatibility mode has helped me save some money in the past. If this solution was helpful then please rate it. If not, reply back and I will list a few native Vista scrapbook programs. Thanks, Edward
Did you try running the program in "Compatibility Mode"? Right-click on the shortcut Select "Properties" Select "Compatibility" Check off "Run this program in Compatibility Mode for" Then chose Windows XP SP3
Keep trying different options until the program responds the way it should.

To configure the compatibility mode for an application, just locate
the installation directory and right click on the .exe, selecting
Properties from the menu.
Select the Compatibility tab: You can choose to run the program in Windows XP compatibility mode, or even all the way back to Windows 95 compatibility.
Probably the most useful setting to start off with would be to
disable the visual themes and desktop composition, if you can't get
things working. If you are trying to run a video game, you will often
need to choose "Run this program as an administrator". You'll have to
play around with it, but most likely you can get your application
working this way.
Because it is an old version--> therefore it is not reasy for W Vista--> Try to use this sw in Compatibility mode--> Desktop--> right click on the program icon--> Properties--> compatibility--> select Windows XP
It may not work at all on Vista, many programs and hardware do not. (scanners and printers etc. -- no new drivers)
Is there any way to update the program?
Go to the company website, check for Vista compatibility.
You may have to purchase an updated program.
