Laptop Freezing Problem

To be honest this still sounds like a fan problem. The freeze will happen if the laptop overheats. Maybe you should have it repaired again by a different company.(ask for the fan to be replaced!)

Problem installing drivers

This issue occurs if install a Retail version of a Windows Operating System in the Computer.

To resolve the issue:

Option 1:

First install the "Sony Shared Library" in the Computer. It will be listed in the Download Page under System Components.

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=VGNN110G

NOTE: Sony Shared Library is the system component which makes the download and installation of Drivers, Updates and Applications compatible with the new Operating System installed in the Computer.

After installing the Sony Shared Library, try installing all the drivers.

IMP: Restart the Computer after installing the Sony shared Library.

Option 2:

If the issue persists then try installing Sony shared Library first and then all the other drivers in the Computer in the SAFE MODE.

NOTE: While an Operating System is in the Safe Mode, it will have reduced functionality, but it is easier to isolate problems because many non-core components are disabled.

Restart the Computer and press the F8 key when the Sony logo appears to start the Computer in the Safe Mode.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
