How so I do Landscape orientation on Canon Pixma MP500?

When you want to print a document Click on File (at top left hand corner of screen) - click on Print then click on Properties box - Layout tab then select Landscape.
The printer normally defaults to Portrait but sometimes you want to print Landscape. Use this method when you need to print in landscape mode.

C5280 model is printing landscape even though set for portrait

Hello,

May i know the software you are using to print ? ( eg Word, excel etc ).
It could be an issue with the software settings.
Try printing using a Notepad.

Can't get it to print landscape in microsoft word

If the printer is set up to over-ride program settings then your Word settings for a landscape print will be ignored. To fix this, go to your Printer Settings (accessible from Word's Print window) and look for a paper settings option that will allow the printer to either use the print settings from Word, or set the printer to always print in landscape. If you go with the second option just remember that next time you want to print portrait pages you'll have to revert this setting from landscape to portrait.

My suddenly prints every other page in landscape. What is the problem? Tom

It prints in portrait then landscape, portrait then landscape and so on. I use a laptop and desktop with this printer and both are doing it. 2 sided print has not been selected.

HP C7180 printer prints 1 p. LANDSCAPE, next p. PORTRAIT, etc.

I had the same problem. I uninstalled the printer on the offending computer, rebooted, reinstalled and it ironed itself out.

I need to flip my text to print on a transfer for a t-shirt

You want to flip the text? Do you mean you want the text to display 90 degrees from normal portrait mode into landscape?

If so, when you select a document to print a window should pop up with options to select number of copies, etc. Take note of a pull down menu with portrait, and landscape options.

Use landscape to print your job with the text in this mode.

If you want this set as the default option you can set this in your print settings in the computer.
Open your printer settings in control panel, (assuming you use windows) select the printer with right click, and choose properties. There should be an item labelled document preferences. In this you can select a between Portrait and landscape. Hope this helps.

Problem Printing word documents

yes..I agree...that line through the letters sounds like something from the font settings in word...do you have True type fonts selected? The landscape issues sound odd too, but I'm sure it's on the word settings side, not the printer.
