I have a motorola krzr k1 it will not turn on or charge, i took the battery out and tried charging it that way because i thought maybe somethings wrong with the battery but its still the same... it just wont do anything. ive only had the phone for a month.
No you never take the battery out and try to charge it. You probally fried something inti.. If you have had it only a few months return it to the store where you purchased it. It is still under warrenty.

Try getting a mini-usb cable and connecting it to your pc- either that, get a second Motorola charger. I suspect that the charger you currently have is defective- it is rare for two pieces of equipment to show the exact same issue
There is a problem with motorola phones .Data cable between screen and main board use to brake by the flip top screens hindge.Hopefully it is not your problem,if it is then only in service they can fix it by replacing this cable.If it is a software problem then you can try to solve it by yourself.It may work if the software is faulty on the phone.Just follow the link below. http://motohell.com/
If the phone still works, check to see if the left side of the hinge (when the phone is open and facing you) is loose. If you can wiggle the top 1/2 of the phone, the hinge is damaged, therefore damaging the flex cable that runs through it. If that is the case, replace the hinge assembly and the flex and you're good.
I would inspect your connectors (both charger & phone) as well for dirt, debris, or damage. I would also suggest using Motorola's wall chargers, the products seem to charge best with them rather than the after-market knock-offs which also seem to damage the phones connectors on some models.
If there is damage to your connector , you will need to get your phone serviced.
try charging up your phone (also verify your battery is not going bad) then reattempt, some programs will not even allow you to update certain portions of the phones software unless your battery is at a sufficient charge.....it very well may be just a battery replacement issue
