JVC D290 CAMCORDER

Unit has gone into safeguard mode and advises me to remove and reattach battery. Have tried this several times but have had no joy. Any ideas ?

    I have tried to remove the battery and wait a few minutes to reattach but It will not do anything but stay in the same safeguard mode.

The cassette holder wont come up aoutomatically

what you have to do is ejecting the tape, and as soon as it starts to eject , close the door immediately, then safeguard mode should be gone, and you will be able to eject normally.

Shows fault E04 remove & reattach battery

Hi, Regarding the above fault with my JVC camcorder, I have solved the problem by removing the tape and replacing with a new one. Thanks anyway.

Safeguard Mode

What error message appears,it should say E0..

Just remove the cover and connect 3v dc supply to the loading motor opposite way the motor will work reverse and cassette will come out and then fix back every thing as it was and then put a new cassette.
