Hoover agility wont suck

I read the post about the lady having trouble with suction after using the hose - that isn't my problem as that area is sealed. The hoses are all attached. You mentioned that the holding tank must be sealed - what exactly do you mean by that? I've cleaned the screen filter in the handle that feeds into the holding tank without success. Does the spring and that whole mechanism inside the holding tank have anything to do with the suction? Thanks for any advice you may have.

Hoover Agility has absolutely no suction for water pick-up.  The filters are clean! This is a piece of junk and is going straight to trash pick-up!

There are 2 filters and if either one gets clogged, it will not suck up the water. One is from the bottom, it is red, pull it out far enough to clean it. The other one is behind the dirty water tank, remove the tank and you can see it on the wall covering the inlet for the suction. Clean it off, you should have suction now.

No Suction when using the Hoover Agility SteamVac: We had suction when using the attachment (for doing upholstery) .. No suction when using it as an upright to clean carpets, The solution was to make sure the cap (cover) over the inlet for attachment is tightly sealed in place. Had to whack it a bit by hand to get it to seat properly.

reddevil6 is right about the 2 filters the top where the water hold tank is for the the attachment you will need to remove and wash out the dirt make sure when putting it back it seal in place the second one is underneath the the steam cleaner is a semi white filter close together tab squeeze hard and pull all the way out and wash out all the dirt also. Any clog filter will stop suction or reduce suction. Im kingchopper

Im trying to blow up an air mattress. Can my hoover agility cyclone blow it up or dose it only suck things up??

Unfortunately you've got suction only on that. Your best bet would be to find an old Electrolux canister vac to hang on to, thosee always had a way to plug the hose into the exhaust for blowing.

Why is my hoover agility not sucking up water

It is likely the recovery tank lid is loose. This means the suction is loosing. Worst case is the suction pump is faulty.
Look at this manual in the troubleshooting section.

Blows air out, not sucking in. Hoover Agility F215-900

It's most likely it's not blowing air out, rather the brush is kicking debris back and out due to loss of suction..
Another possibility with the power head is a cracked or leaky tube between the tank and power head.
For the tank, check all areas for clogs, and clear them.

Press the handle release kick-button with your foot, extend the handle all of the way back, and take a look at the gap between the base of the unit and the handle/reseviour assembly. You should see several black hoses attached to the base and running up into the handle assembly. One of them (the dirty water return hose) might be cracked. Turns out that might be a common problem with this model. We had the same problem.

Judging by the interference between the vacuum hose and the "dirty water return" hose, there is NO WAY those two hoses can exist together in that housing without causing the dirty water return hose to stress. It certainly cannot last for many full bends of the handle.

We opted to not repair our unit, but you might be able to do it yourself for the cost of the part and several hours of your time. Otherwise, seek out your certified Hoover repair center for more info.

UPDATE: I McGuyverized it myself with a dremel cutoff tool, some vinyl tubing, some 2-part epoxy, and a lot of faith. It sure isn't pretty, but it sucks again. :)

Hoover agility--poor suction, still!

When you remove the dirty water tank, on the machine, there is a screen that gets clogged and will prevent good suction, is this one clean? If it is, do you feel suction at that screen, if so then there is a problem with the tank. If no suction there, then you will have to check it over for a air leak or a bad seal.

Hoover Agility, No Suction!!!

I had the same problem. Lower the handle to the floor and check the black spiral suction hose at the neck of the machine. The lower hose in my Hoover split. Check and see if yours has done the same thing. If so, the lower suction hose will have to be replaced. Hope this helps.

Suction

Opening that door and attaching the hose will let the suction go thru that hose. So if when you removed the hose, if that door isn't closed tight will cause you to have a suction problem It has to seal and have no leaks. The other thing when be a problem with the recovery tank not sealing when you put it back on. Other then that, any air leak will cause a suction problem.
