Hello, My camera M1093 IS suddenly will open when I hit the power button only to close immediately. The screen comes on for a second and then it closes. I ordered a new battery thinking that may be the...

Could be something stopping the lens to go out all the way. It will automatically retract and turn off if anything prevents it from extending. It could be the motor or whatever but I would definitely contact kodak. Also could be something like a short or software malfunction but it sounds like a problem with the lens not being able to extend fully out.

Camera lens wont open or close after being dropped. it won't turn on and take pictures

Lens error is usually caused by mechanical faults concerning lens assembly. The lens cannot extend or retract fully, the error is detected and lens error is returned.
Sometimes this can be fixed playing with the lens during extraction or retraction to help the lens asset getting back to normal.
More often the camera lens must be disassembled and re-assembled by a technician to fix the problem.

Try helping the camera to retract using your fingers while you turn camera off, try also helping lens to full extent if they don't.if you do not succeed in this simple way the camera lens must be taken apart and reassembled at a repair shop.

Camera beeps loud 3 times and shuts right off!!

sounds like a lens error, does the lens extend or retract? You probably have to get the lens back on track, use gentle pressure wiht the camera face down on a towel covered table and turn on to see if the camera tries to retract the lens. I really dislike these types of cameras that extend the lens everytime, if it turns on in your pocket, your doomed!

Kodak DX6340 Lens Cover Does Not Open

Try blowing lots of compressed air around the open lens shutter to clean the mechanism. Or use a hair dryer for a few seconds (don't want to heat up the camera). Also with the lens barrel extended and pointed downward, tap the lens barrel with a pencil while you extend and retract the lens by powering the camera on and off. A grain of sand in the mechanism is usually the culprit, and you want to try to dislodge it.

You can open it up, but only as a very last resort. The above procedures usually work if you try them enough. But for those particularly nasty stuck mechanisms, here's an example repair on a Canon Powershot A400 (do this at your own risk, and it will void your warranty):
