with the on switch for the oven the higher the numbers the hotter the oven
the thermostat will do the controlling at the temp you set
If that is not happening replace the switch

Did you ever hear a bang or a crack sound from the oven? Shine a light and see if any of the elements appear to be bulging or black. It is possible one or both the elements burned or shorted out and need to be replaced.

refer to your use and care manual and there is a section on adjusting/calibrating the oven temps. tip do not use a small thermometer from the grocery to adjust your oven. buy a decent digital style...... then turn you oven on and let it cycle 3 times, that is elements come on then go off = 1 cycles. then watch the temp scale. record the temp when element turns off,,, then them temp when it turns on. add the 2 temps together then divide by 2 and that gives you the temp the oven is maintaining. then adjust accordingly. DO NOT ADJUST PER THE HIGH OR LOW TEMPS. use the middle temp as described.

in your owner manual there is a section for adjusting (calibrating) the oven temps. Follow those instruction to adjust to what you read the temps inside the oven. i would also recommend that you dont use a $7.00 thermomenter from the grocery store.

There is a calibration mode on most WP ovens that let's you adjust by +/- 35 Deg F. Keep in mind that oven thermometers are notoriously inaccurate. If you are convinced the temperature is running low, then the most likely suspect is the temperature sensor or corrosion on the connector pins on the end of it's cable.

Oven will be off, of course.

Depress the Bake button; hold it down for 5-7 seconds.

The default offset of 0 will appear in the numerical display. Or, if the oven has previously been adjusted, you'll see that setting. Use the 'up' or 'down' arrow to adjust the temperature by the desired amount. The adjustments are in increments of 5 degrees F. Maximum adjustment is 35.

Press 'Start' to save the new setting.

I recommend rechecking the oven temp at this time. I expected to see a 25 degree increase, but all I got was 10.

How much is it off? Adjustable with the thermostat knob. If too far for the knob setting then the thermostat is bad.

No adjustment. Could be bad temp control unit or bad oven temp sensor. You would have to purchase a repair manual and test the current flow to and from the circuit. And then testing the oven temp unit with multi-tester.

some units will need to be adjusted if you live in a high altitude above 3000ft.
