I'm sure it's not the answer you're looking for but the "Open Heat" error is related to the printer's fuser, switch mode power supply or temperature control thermistor. More than likely it's the fuser which needs replacing and you'd need to contact Dell for a replacement. If you google for "1600n fuser" you'll also come up with several retailers with fusers in the $80 range as opposed to Dell's $140+.

How to fix the 3 red rings

Hello there

If you need to fix this problem or any other xbox problem like open/close tray error, disk read error, 2 lights error, all error messages, no display and son, if you want to fix this your self and save loads of cash on the way then you need a Good Xbox repair guide,

The Problem is caused by over heating and this causes the GPU and the CPU to lose connection with the motherboard, The heat actually melts the soldering that connects the chips to the motherboard.

The best advice i can give is as i say a really good xbox repair guide.

i use this website here to keep me updated with the best ones www.dr-xbox.tk

Low Heat Or Open Heat

Dear
low heat error means the temp. of fusser assy. was not achieved during the specified time. some times occur during low voltage supply and reset after s/w OFF-ON.
Open heat error means there is no electrical connection to the heater heater of the fusser assy. It has tob either repaired or replaced with new one. mostly the thermostat is responsible.
Thanks.

Open heat error

A laser printer uses a "fuser" -- it produces heat, and melts the DRY ink into the paper, to "bond" the paper and the ink.

If you have a "heat error", then the fuser is not working correctly.

Call the local XEROX office, and schedule a service-call for their technician to replace/repair the fuser.

Open heat error in my printer model SCX-4521F

open heat error sounds like the fuser lamp is blown. The fuser lamp is inside the hot roller at the back which melts the toner onto the page. It is not really a user serviceable part, you would need someone qualified to repair/replace the fuser.

Open heat error

this means the fuser isnt heating up or sometimes that the printer doesnt sense it heating up, to work out which one applys to you leave it turned on for a few minutes and feel the rear vent, if it is warm then the fuser is good and the sensor is faulty, if its not then the fuser lamp needs replacing, either isnt usually a "user servicable part". get the best idea of the exact issue and approach a repair shop or samsung service provider. if its under warranty contact samsung. if its not get a quote if its more than you think its worth sell the printer with this fault described.

Open heat error

if you meant to write over heat error, it should go away after the fuser cools down. if it continues to happen, the fuser unit will need to be repaired or replaced

Open heat error

From looking at the manual it looks as if you have a faulty thermistor. When warming up, it has to heat up to at least 60 degrees. If it stays lower then 60 degrees celsius for over 35 seconds and doesn't reach 60 within that time frame then that would cause the open heat error that is happening on your machine.
