- I have a Vivicam 5386. Camera wll turn on for only seconds with blurred didplay, then shut down. Replacement of batteries did not solve the problem. Also lens does not completely retract at shut down nor does the shutter door completely close. Any suggestions. Camera was checked a yr and a half ago Vivitar Customer Service and declared to have no problem...- kingarooSolution #1

This is a lens fault.
KODAK recommends a repair in this case it might be a better option to chose a trade up where KODAK offeres to exchange your existing model with a brand new model for a favorable price.
