Question about Canon FAXPHONE L80 Laser

Volume contraol on a Can Fax L290

We have a Canon L290 that we would like to turn the volume down on. I cannot find the onscreen menu and it does not have a handset... Can you help???

Look in the User Settings Menu for volume control. You should find settings to set the volume lower, higher or off.

SOMEONE TURNED OFF THE VOLUME WHEN SENDING A FAX, I WANT TO HEAR IT BEING SENT. HOW DO I TURN IT BACK ON


Press 'Menu/Set' then press 1,4,1 and you turn the ring off or adjust the volume. Press Menu/Set then press Stop/Exit.

Press 'Menu/Set' then press 1,4,2 to adjust the beeper volume. Press Menu/Set then press Stop/Exit.

Press 'Menu/Set' then press 1,4,3 to adjust the machines one way speaker volume. Press Menu/Set then press Stop/Exit.

Go to the Brother website and download the User's Guide for other information on the FAX-2820

HOW DO I CHANGE THE VOLUME?


lift the speed dial covers then press data registration btn then user settings btn then scroll down to volume control then you have key pad volume and alarm volume press the one you want and adj. to what you like.

By pressing the menu button left of the LCD display,scroll to usersettings press ok.Scroll to volume settings press ok and change volume levels there.

Can you turn the beep noise off on the keys?


Yes. Press "Data Registration" then "Set" then "Set" .Now arrow down until you see Volume Control. Arrow down until you see Keypad Volume. Make that number "0" and press "Set". Press "Stop" button to escape to normal operation mode. Hope this helps.

Press(menu),press arrow left untill (common Settings),Press (ok)Press left untill(volume Control) is shown.Press (ok).Choose the different volume control for the machine here.You can also choose to switch the volume completely off.

L170 Canon Fax Sound and volume control issues


Sunds as though you have the handset that came with the machine attached to it and the handset ring volume is still on. To turn that off there are 2 black inset switches on the handset itself turn those down or off.

Too Loud


Ours has a volume control on the left side right near the top. It has four positions high, med, low and off.
