I have the same problem, except with a DELL 1600

I get the same error message with my Samsung 1610 laser printer.

I AM NOT ON A NETWORK.

My printer worked without a problem until recently and I do not know what might have changed to cause this problem.

I have reinstalled the printer driver, following advice given by Samsung.

I was wondering about a Virus Infection although I have done a scan under DOS with advice from McAfee without finding anything.

I have also scanned for spyware using CA antispyware without finding anything suspicious.

I found the problem with my non-networked Samsung ML-1610 laser printer.

I had it plugged into a 4 way (unpowered) v2.0 hub.

When I plugged it directly into a USB port on the computer the printing error disappeared.

I have the same printer, I found if I plug it directly into the computer rather than through the 4- way USB hub, all problems disappear! (For now...)

If i not mistaken you need a printer server.

the printer will not work properly if you desktop is connected wirelesly to the internet.then, you laptop is connected to your desktop wirelessly also. One conputer must be connect to a cable to make the conputer work properly.

try this....

connect your desktop thru a cable modem, not wirelessly.

then locate your printer using your laptop...it should work.

the cause of this problem is the printer cannot transfer the proper file thru your desktop wirelessly.

I actually had the same problem...bought a desktop and a laptop...both have the capability to connect to the internet wirelessly, but having trouble printing....

It is a problem with printing a specific type of document. In perticular a LARGE document (lots of pages, or lots of pictures). Its not spooling the document quickly enough and is causing a failure. Go into the network settings and set the network speed (if your using accross the network) and set it to 10Mbps full.

at http://www.adassoft.com/en/linux/235-instalar-impressora-scx-4200-no-opensuse-110.html this problem is mentioned (on a suse 11.1, using the samsung-drivers) - the author thinks it's related with koffice - i have the same problem on a mandriva spring 2009 linux with samsung scx-4200R, but printing out of kooffice works fine for me, okular and thunderbird show me the above error (with version qpdl...2005). So far I've no idea how to fix that...if you use linux, one problem may be that first you need to install cups and sane, then the samsung driver packages.

My computer restart when I print something

Reinstall the printer drivers. In your case, I recommend erasing completely the previous driver so you do not overwrite on them. This is just in case you have a bad sector in your hard drive, we do not want to reinstall over a bad sector. After the driver is erased, check your hard disk with the scandisk or chkdsk utility. Then reintall your driver from start.
