Mine did the same exact thing. my first impression (that i only had for 3 1/2 months) decided to completely freeze the touchscreen, when i had absolutely no water damage and had never dropped it. i tried EVERYTHING took out the battery and the sim for an entire day, turned it on and off, and nothing worked. One thing i know, try your best not to drop this phone because my friend also had to get a new one because she dropped it several times, and they are VERY sensitive, and dropping it throws off the calibration, as does getting liquid on the screen. I went to a local at&t store and they said I would be eligible for a new phone because I had not caused the phone to stop working, but they could not give me one at the local store. i went to a DSC (device service center) for at&t, and the guy took one look at my phone, tried to play around with it, and within a couple minutes said I would be receiving a new phone that day. I received a new phone, and even got my numbers and my sim transferred for me. if your phone continues to freeze up, definitely bring it in. hope this helps :)

Touchpad freezes

Control panel - find mouse/touchpad icon and try a reset of the functions. If all else fails and you can back everything up, a clean re-install of Windows should solve it. If that doesn't work, it's a hardware problem - return to Sony or a qualified engineer

If you are not seeing even the BIOS screen when you turn on the laptop then it is possible that an internal component has failed which gives you very few options.
1. Try removing the battery and starting the laptop with just the mains charger connected - this will help eliminate a battery failure issue.
2. Try connecting an external monitor and see if anything appears on that display when booting the laptop - this will eliminate the laptop display.
3. Check how many memory modules you have installed on the laptop, these are normally accessible beneath a small cover on the base of the laptop - you may have to undo one or two screws to get access. If you have more than one memory module, then remove one module and try starting the laptop with only the other installed. If that doesn't help, then try with the other module removed and the first replaced. This will eliminate the memory. Note: please be very careful when handling memory - do not touch the components on the modules, hold only by the edges and try to ground yourself if possible to prevent damaging the components by static electricity off your clothing etc.
4. Try booting from a CD or DVD (you could use a Windows install or recovery disk, or a Linux Live CD for such as Ubuntu, or a rescue type CD such as Hiren's Boot CD) - this will eliminate a hard drive failure or corruption though it seems unlikely this may be the case given you cannot access the BIOS panels. You could also try removing the internal hard drive and repeating this test.
If all of the above do not move the problem forward, then it is likely that you have got a more serious problem with such as the processor or motherboard or integrated components of the latter - you would need to get service from Medion or a local PC repair shop.

I can't shutdown my laptop.

If you can't shut down normally (using windows), you can press and hold the power button until the computer shuts down. You can also remove the battery.
Make sure to save you work or anything that is open before you perform a hard shut down.

I press power and the lens opens and shuts but dows not allow me to take picture. The screen reads ''tune the power off an on again'' but turning powers on/off does resolve anything.

Hi!

You may try removing the Battery from the Camera then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then, reinsert the Battery and turn the Camera ON. Please make sure that the Battery pack is fully charged. Next, check if the Menu options or home screen is accessible. Then try resetting the Camera to the original factory settings.

If the issue persists even after performing all the above steps then service is required.
