Please check in device manager that storage mass device is not showing yellow mark if it is please first remove any storage device showing yellow mark in usb devices in device manager >

You wil find device manager in windows 2000/xp in control panel >administrative tools>computer management ..then click on device manager

Second thing is please remove/uninstall any storage device information from device manager
Restart the pc and then go to device manager and see there should be no entry of storage device in usb root devices .After this fix your usb device and it will work definately

If you do not need the data, just format it. If you need the data try running chkdsk on it.

Iomega mdhd360ue not powering on?

IS there any sound on the drive if no try to check if the problem is with the case or the drive you can remove the drive from the case and directly connect to a system using data cable.
if does not have a data type connector on the drive than you have to try different case supporting the connector on the drive.
could b the cable first try to change the cable and test it.

I have an Iomega External Drive attached to an HP Pavilion tower. My computer doesn't recognize the drive; therefore I cannot access data on the associated floppy disk.

Have you tried another computer to check the drive? Also installing newer drivers may resolve the issue. And for last, try a different USB cable. I hope this helps.

I have an external Iomega 250 zip drive with a USB connection cable but do not have the power cord/transformer. Where can I get a replacement and will this drive (model Z250USBPCM) work with an iMac?

Yes your model will work with an iMac conveniently. The replacement chord can be gotten from any computer hardware store around. All you have to do is take the unit there so they can access what particular chord is going to function for it.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

you need to install the drivers cd you got with your iomega 150. Install the drivers and connect it to the PC.
NOTE- remember you will have to install the drivers on a PC,and will be recognized by the PC on which you installed the drivers.

Write protected zip disk

you can always try to format and delete all the data, then recover it, recuva can help you recover it, its free from recuva.com. but that would be last resort

Not able to access the Jaz Disk

Iomega has quite a bit of customer help info: https://iomega-na-en.custhelp.com Click: Other Products Then Click: JAZ 2GB Then Click: Windows XP Then Click: More Answers... Then type in "search text" area: "insert a disk" Then Click: Search Then Click: "Please insert a disk into drive X" error message when inserting or trying to read an Iomega disk If that website's search engine doesn't help, you can also log into: http://www.iomegasupportforums.com and ask the tech support people there.
