Its only an idea!
Crt monitors needed to heat up the vacuum tube. Before opening, so i guess you just need to wait for it to heat up. Then try to turn it off. then turn it on again.

Whats the problem with no picture on the monitor but the cpu is working

Can you observe any LED lights on the monitor panel when you try to turn it on. If no then check your power cables. If you can see the LED lights but screen does not show try to unplug the VGA/HDMI cable and clean it by blowing air through the plug and then reconnect it. Also try to turn on the monitor without connecting it to the monitor as this will verify if the monitor is OK because if it is it should display a message to check the input signal or no input signal is detected. If it does and you are still not having a display then the problem is probably in your CPU and more specifically in the VGA card.

How to trouble shoot no display problem in PC

Mostly the prolem comes with PCs is no display. When such situation comes we can try following DIY and 90% the faulty part could be diagnosed:
1.Unplug the VGA cable of the monutor and if monitor shows some message (check signal cable) monitor is ok
2.First check for the power whether LEDs are blinking? If yes power unit is fine.
3.Check for the responses of the kwyboard LEDs, if after switching on LEDs are blinking processor is ok otherwise there is some issue with Processor.(Note it might not blink if the mainboard is burned)
4.Try to press num lock key if the LED is responding most probably this is the issue with RAM otherwise with Mainboard.

Thanks

Power on power led blinking

Hello.

The LED blinking light usually means that the attached PC is not powered on or the VGA connector (end of cable connected from the monitor to the PC) on the monitor, the cable or the VGA port on the PC is faulty.

Try your monitor on another computer. If it works, there is a problem with your PC. If it doesn't work, the VGA connector, the monitor's VGA cable or the monitor itself, is faulty.

Hope this helps.

We have an almost three year old HP pavilion but suddenly the monitor stopped displaying the information from the computer. We think it's a graphic card issue but the BX where we purchased it didn't want...

First Remove the VGA cable from your pc backside and turn on the monitor alone and you should find some message that VGA cable unplugged or VGA not found like that... If it comes then the monitor is ok...

Then power on the pc and you should find out the harddrive's red led will blinking and you will get also one beep then it will ok,
if it is really problem with graphics card or display issue, you should get some beep codes continuously (2 or 3 beep sounds)

Thanks...

It's because I accidentally plug the cable to the built-in graphics card port. Now I connected it to the right one and my monitor is working great!

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!
