Question about Marantz DV7600 Progressive Scan Universal DVD Player

Open Question

CPPM error code

I recently went into the menu system to open zone my DV7600.
It worked but now when the player is turned on it reads "CPPM ERR".
The player works but it's clearly not meant to display that message.
I have tried holding the stop button but it won't reset like the maunal says.
Anyone had this?
Thanks

    Hi there,

I have similar problem, when I turn on my Marantz DV7600 I get a message "EEP ERR". I recently was "treated" by my cousin to him unlocking it so that it will play all regions, I live in Europe and it was a Region 1 DVD player.

I would be able to put up with this however whilst playing a song, usually the 2nd or 3rd that I am playing, it seems to crash, for want of a better description. The play speed goes slow then fast and it seems to die a death!

I have tried to contact Marantz on numerous occassions to find out what the message means and best case, that they give me the correct coding to get it back to Region 1 as there wasnt a problem!!

If anyone knows what the problem is or a way for me to get it back to region 1, when it was working perfectly, please let me know

ESP-6TM Sprinkler System - Everything on the display is correct. Then the unit reads "Err" and will not activate. Tried reprogramming with no luck. What is the problem?

When it gives the "ERR" code, usually it flashes the zone number after that. This will only do this when the system is set to "ON". Sometimes, error codes pop up for no apparent reason, with no fault in the system, and attempting to clear the alarm is the first step in troubleshooting the system. When turned to "ON", and the "ERR" alarm is displayed, hit the ENTER button. This should clear the alarm for a single zone. If another ERR is displayed, clear it also by pressing ENTER. Turn the system back to OFF, wait 10 seconds, then turn to ON. If no ERR codes are displayed, the system should cycle properly on next use. If ERR odes are still displayed, make another attempt to clear them, and re-check. If they cannot be cleared, trace down circuits to the valve boxes for each zone, and make sure that all wiring connections are good, dry, and tight. Solenoid valves can be removed with the water shut off, and tested at the control box by wiring them into the terminal strip site for a known good circuit, and then operating that circuit. If the valve is good, you'll see and hear the diaphragm move.

I need to hack the region of the Sony DVD SR500H

Hi there

Follow these steps and your dvd will be able to play discs from any region.

*With the player in stand-by mode (take out any discs and leave it alone for several minutes) press on the remote, in this order: TOP MENU, CLEAR, POWER.

*A menu will appear with several options. Choose Option 2 and then Option 4.

*Type 12450, press enter, then type 00000.
  • Step 4 After the tray opens and closes repeatedly (this is normal), unplug the unit, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Try cleaning the laser first. Take care, because it is delicate.

Some instructions of how to clean a CD laser:
    http://www.wikihow.com/Clean-a-CD-Player

If the cleaning does not fix the fault, it is possible that the laser is weak, or there are some problems in the electronics in the CD player. This is not something you will be able to service yourself, unless you are properly trained, have experience, and have the proper setup to perform CD player servicing.

In most cases these CD players are not cost effective to service. You can contact the orignal manufacture for details or any recomendations.
