There seems to be a problem with the memory slots. I had the same problem as you. Layed a tooth pick across the memory, long way with the dimms. An now it boots fine evrytime.

My sony vaio will not turn on

Either the power supply is bad (has died) or the power unit in your laptop is bad. Try another power supply if possible. If not you'll need to open up your computer and replace the power supply unit.

I get an error code e1 and have cleaned and replaced the filter. Runs for a couple minutes then shuts of with same message. Any ideas?

THIS SHOULD RESET IT
1 DISCONECT THE POWER PLUG FROM POWER SUPPLY 2 CLEAN FILTER 3 HOLD DOWN THE POWER ON/OF BUTON ON THE UNIT AND PLUG THE UNIT KEEP PRESSING UNTILL IT EMITS A BEEP SOUND FOR APROX 5 SECONDS 4 DISCONECT POWER AND PLUG AGAIN
IF THAT DOES NOT WORK 1 DISCONECT UNIT 2 HOLD DOWN THE MODE KEY ON THE PAD OF THE UNIT AND PLUG THE UNIT KEEP PRESSING UNTIL IT EMITS A BEEP SOUND APROX 3 SECONDS THE UNIT WILL START. 3 STOP THE UNITS OPERATION BY PRESING ON/OF 4 RESTART UNIT.

LDS5811ST Dishwasher stopped mid cycle and not it will not power on. Plugged it into know working outlets and will not power on.

Three things. No power to the unit, The A/C power filter (located behind the bottom power box) has blown, and or the main board is now bad.

Sometimes this is caused by a the power connections (in the power box) that have come loose inside the wire nuts. Check that first.

If the unit is getting 120volts, you will need a voltage meter, remove the unit, and start checking voltages to see whats not getting power.

Lg lrm-519 went into demo mode. Can't get it back

follow directions from the owners manual. while unit is powered up, unplug power cord from back of unit - wait 5-seconds. Depress the DVD open/close button while re-plugging the power supply cord to the unit. LG splash appears onscreen and unit goes into re-set. you do not loose any of you programing or settings.

Something is definitely loose in that area. Replacing the related parts is probably the best fix.

Can't seem to disassemble sony vaio pcg-grx550 laptop

try looking on the top of the laptop, around the keyboard to see if there is anything that will pop off, they are very bad about hiding more screws in places like that.
