Tv made a popping noise then turned off model HC-P4752W

Tv "LAMP" LED light indication flashes or light up?Yes,the tv projection lamp life is over.Replaced the tv projection lamp.

Does it sound like thin grinding noise?
The color wheel is very common problem. Color wheel for this model is about $100 to $150 plus labor.

look for trouble in the low voltage and or high voltage power supply circuits. the popping sound could be an exploded safety capacitor in the horizontal output to the flyback transformer. the horizontal output transistor maybe damaged. chances are the low voltage regulator is also damaged.

check for bad color wheel....may sould like a grinding sound

it might be set on sleep mode check again

I think you have a fault on the chroma board and on the picture frame board. If you can trace it yourself try these two locations otherwise call out a competant technician. hope this helps.

It sounds like the popping noise you heard was a capacitor blowing its top somewhere in the tv. Sorry I cannot be more specific but if you manage to find out where this cap has gone also check any resistors near it as they can be also damaged. If you cant do this call out a competant technician. Good luck.

If you have any electronic background, the best thing to try first with this TV set would be to locate the convergence board and unplug the power plugs going to the board. Try then to turn on the TV set, and if it does turn on, turn it off right away! That will tell you that the convergence board is shorted and causing your problem. If the set still will not turn on you will need to trouble shoot the power supply board. If you have no electronic circuit board experience, this is not the job for you to attempt, play it safe and call in a trained tech. good Luck
