Question about Mitsubishi VS-45607 45" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Mitsubishi Big Screen VS-45607

The television will turn itself off at various times of the day or week. I normally unplug and wait for about an hour and turn it back on. Sometimes it will work just fine for a couple of weeks and then all of a sudden it will shut itself off. Sometimes when we first turn it on in the morning it will immediately shut itself off and we have to wait a couple of hours before turning it on again. We got an estimate of $465.00 to fix it but the technician never told us what the problem was. Can anyone give us some assistance on this matter?

Picture goes off

A temporary solution is to unplug the TV for a few minutes, remove static from the glass with your hand. It is important to unplug rather than turn off. If you have a degauss button you can also press that before unplugging. Wait several minutes or an hour. Then plug it back in. If you have Picture in Picture it may be an issue with that and to permanently solve may need a repair person. The unplugging may get you by for a few days at a time. That's at least better than an hour.

I had a half power outage where everything turned half off, how I still dont know. Anyways I unpluged it and didn't plug it back in until the next day. When I did the timer light was blinking for an hour. I unpluged it for a couple hours more, then I plugged it in and waited for 1 min, unplugged it and repeated, then I plugged it and unplugged it 3 or 4 times in a row, plugged it back in and waited. 1 min. then poof the tv worked. YAAAAAA HOOOOOO!!!!
