Card error Pictures from Christmas and Nieces one year birthday party... Put the memory card in the reader on my brother's computer and it shows error. We formatted card... sadly thinking I lost pictures, Took pictures on a great vacation shared with 6 people and I being responsible for the pics... came home and plugged card into reader and into computer...again card error. So now are pictures lost? My son went to some kind of site and downloaded something that said there are over 1000 pictures on card... We can't see them any more...I am hoping someone has a solution. Pictures are priceless... do I need another card reader? Thanks.

Sorry for my bad english. If the card is not damaged, you can recovery your foto's with computer. You need some software for example PC-Inspector (Freeware) : http://www.pcinspector.de/Sites/smart_recovery/info.htm?language=1 , or Recover My Photos. Download, install the software, read help and connect card via card reader to PC and recovery your foto's.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

Photo download

You didn't specify the camera, but as long as it stores pictures onto a memory card, the best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

Most cameras, such as yours, will not display pictures that were not taken on the same camera (or at least one the same model).

You can recover deleted pictures from camera with this camera recovery software called asoftech photo recovery... Download the program
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.
