When I push a button on the remote (JER 321) the power button goes red but nothing happens to the TV. The signals are not being sent/recieved. I sat on it for a second and that might be what caused the problem.
What can i do to fix it?
I had the same problem-- again, after sitting on it for a minute or so. I think what happened is I un-saved the code for my television. I found these instructions to re-code the remote, and by following them, fixed the problem-- I now have a fully functioning remote control. Hope this works for you, too!
1.Manually turn on the component you want the remote to control. 2.Press and hold the component key (TV, VCR, Etc..) you wish to program. The illuminated ON-OFF key turns and remains on. 3.While holding the component key down, press and hold the ON-OFF key. The illuminated ON-OFF key turns off. 4.After holding down both keys for three seconds, the illuminated ON-OFF key turns back on. 5.Release both keys. The illuminated ON-OFF key remains on. 6.Press
and release the ON-OFF key repeatedly until your component turns off.
Wait four seconds between each keypress. Each time you press the ON-OFF
key, the illuminated ON-OFF key blinks and the next code in the list is
sent. This process continues until all of the codes in the Code lists
have been searched. If your component turns off, you have found the
correct code. 7.Once you have found the correct code, you must save
the new code by pressing and releasing the STOP key. The illuminated
ON-OFF key turns off. You must press the STOP key to save the code or
the correct code will not be stored.

Re: Remote not sending signal to TV
First lets figure out if the remote is send or not.. Do you have a web cam? If so bring-up the cam on your screen so you can see yourself on the computer.. Now poin the remote at the cam lens and start pressing buttons. If you see a light on the screen eminating from the remote the remote is functioning...
Only other way might be have it tested at a local radio shack. They used to have cards for that - don't know if they still do - but wouldn't hurt to ask..
Let me know what you find and we'll go from there..

TV brand? Testing remote control: The remote control puts out IR (InfraRed) signal that human eyes cannot see, to find out if the remote is sending out the signal or not you just point the remote at the digital camera's Lens (Digital Camera can detect IR), you should see flashing light on the camera's screen when any one of the remote button is pushed. If you do see the flashing on the camera, then the problem is in the TV IR receiver or the main logic board; more troubleshooting with scope will be needed to look at the signals. 2) If the remote checked out OK, then look at the back of the TV for the "REMOTE INPUT", use a mini-phone plug and insert the plug into the remote input jack in and out a couple times to clean the switch contacts that select between the front IR receiver of the TV or the rear panel IR input jacks.

Hi, Lets check remote is working or not. Watch remote front through any digital camera and press buttons on remote, if you see blinking light on remote front that means remote is sending infra red signals and if no blinking light then remote is defective and no way to fix it. Thanks.
To introduce it to your universal control Jer 323: 1. Press the device button you need (for example, TV) 2. Press the input key and keep pressing it while introducing your code (for example, Sony Tv: "Input+1218")
To program this remote you should do the next steps:
1.Manually turn on the component you want the remote to control. 2.Press and hold the component key (TV, VCR, Etc..) you wish to program. The illuminated ON-OFF key turns and remains on. 3.While holding the component key down, input the 4 digit code for your component (TV, VCR, etc), after you press the first digit the light on the ON-OFF will go off, continue with the remaining digits. 4. After the 4 digit code has been entered, press the power button, if it works you get the right code, if not, repeat steps with another code in the list.
