Question about Panasonic CT-32SX12 32" TV

Open Question

My Panasonic CT-32SX just stopped working? I came to turn this TV on and I do not get any response. It's just as if the TV were unplugged. Everything is working correctly around it and we did not experience lightning storms, power outages, etc. I've noticed through browsing on-line that this is a common problem with the CT-32SX and I'm looking to see if anyone has some detailed information regarding the faulty power supply system. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Chris Walke

My Panasonic CT-32SX12 32" TV just stopped working. I turned it off and later in the day tried to turn it on again and nothing. Everything is hooked up the same as before but the TV does nothing when the on button is pressed. It is like it is unplugged.

This is usually down to a safety feature cutting out the Television from harming itself. Or quite possibly a fault that make it turn itself off - it may well be thinking it's receiving the command to turn itself off. Either way, it's impossible to find out without opening it up. A professional repair is the only way, check up on your warranty. You may want to plug it into a different power source, just on the off-chance that it may solve your problem - but don't get your hopes up.

SOURCE: panasonic CT-36HX42F I turn it on and then, turns off

It seems that the electrical relay's, it getting completed is not able to create the high voltage required for proper display. Hence on switching it on, the power LED will immediately light up but since the circuit is not completed it switches to standby and then off. Get the relays replaced and make sure you connect the main power chord to a 15 Ampere rating wiring usually the line meant for A/c and hot water Geyser(called as high power line)..........sodeep

I had the same problem. Sometimes the processor gets overheated, particularly when dealing with high definition signals. Unplug the television from the power strip or wall outlet and it should reset everything. When you plug it back in it should work. Not a long-term solution, I know, but it will get your TV working again.

No response from remote

Remote problem could arise from either tv or remote. First check your universal remote on some other tv and if it is okay your tv's infrared sensor has stopped working. You can get it from the local component shops, take the existing sensor with you. This problem could be from the micro processor in rare cases. Best of luck.

This set has a common problem with th main fuse opening for no other apparent reason... One of the few exceptions to my corner-stone statement that a fuse is never the cause only a symptom..
Don't replace it though with the same type grade, use a 6.3a slo-blow gma type - available at Radio Shack... Try that and if everything works you're back in business.. If not we nee to find a cause...
