WOULD RATHER FIX ON A COMPONENT LEVEL MODULES ARE TWO HIGH THAT IS FOR THE PEOPLE THAT DONT KNOW HOW TO REPAIR SETS OR JUST HAVE TO MUCH MONEY TO BLOW.

  • dprice75 Mar 16, 2008

I have the same problem - The red blue & green are out of alignment & it looks like the old 3d colors. I've tried adjusting the coverage & multipoint coverage, but it appears the TV is so far out of alignment on the red that this method does not get it back into spec. I also reset TV to factory settings & the red is still way off. In addidion to this problem, the picture is out of "keystone" in some areas. The view is curved & looks as if it were "wrapped around a fishbowl", kind of like when you adjust a CRT computer monitor. If anyone knows how to fix this or what part needs to be replaced, please help. My only other options are to buy a new TV or have a company repair both of which will cost hundreds of dollars. Thanks !!!

Where is the reset or fuse on the lc391eme tv

The fuse is located on switched mode power supply board. If the fuse has blown the set will be dead no standby led light on front of set also when you plug the set into a power outlet you should hear the relays clicking. if you don't hear the clicking then the fuse has blown or another part of the power supply has failed and will require service.

My 42 inch tv wont turn on model nu 42pfl5603d/10

what you need is trouble shooting and a good digital tester to fix that problem. since the problem is power off start at the back light check if their is a small maldischarge at the module then check if their is a click on relay and then if the front LED is turn from red to green. then check the power supply if normal, check the low and high voltage except the stand by supply. then check the Y board the Va and Vs supply look for the blown fuse. and then the Z board check the 5v and Va supply, check also blown fuse.

This is a very common problem. Your Flyback/HVG has gone out. The most commion symptom is that you have audio but no video. We see this all the time on the DPTV3XX models. The bad news is that its nearly impossible to find one.

Philips 42PF5321D/37 Plasma No Picture Six Red LED Flashes

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.
Counting of number of blinks to Philips TVs is entirely different to that of other brand TVs. It is not a direct count procedure. The site have details about how to count the number of LED blinks [Fault Codes] to Philips brand TVs are given; along with details of the faulty circuit location.

Non working TV, can someone help???

Replace Q8023 (top224y) which you will find is blown apart or it's shorted, and the Q1 (2sk2662) which would check to be shorted inside the heat shrinked wrapped board next to the blue relay and the smd zener diode ZD8018 (shorted) along with the ceramic fuse F8001.
I don't remember the value for the zener diode but there's lots of them with the same color code. You will have to take one of the others off to test on a resistor jig to get it's value.
The 2SK2662 is a cross for the original.

No video, no audio, red light on in front of TV

Excellent visual acuity technique!! I try to teach that procedure.

IC F6629B is probably shorted and at least one other part will

be open, possibly a zener diode,a fuse,a resistor or combo.

The service diagram would help.Be sure to use OEM first quality

parts.Let me know if you need more help.
