Paper dents there is a roller in the copier that leaves dents all the way down the center of the page. how do I get to the roller that might be the problem and adjust it. I think it happens after the ink gets on the paper so that the result is that I have dents and ink blobs running down the center of the page. thank you for your help, Jim

We had one doing the same thing-turned out to be one of the fusers plastic exit rolls was out of position causing a dent in the paper same direction as paper travel.
to remove the fuser you will need a small offset phillips #2 screwdriver and some patience.

1. pull platen to left to acess upper cover screw, remove upper and lower plastic covers from exit end of copier 3 screws. as well as left cover next to paper exit area{pops out}
pull back black protective sheet and disconnect 3 connectors one on circuit board two going to fuser assembly. to remove fuser assembly remove 3 screws with your offset driver. fuser pulls up and out. now you can inspect for damaged fuser film sleeve or mispositioned exir rolls. reassemble slowly-panels need some coaxing to get to sit properly.-maybe hand crank a piece of paper through the fuser using it's drive gear to see where the problem is coming from.

I believe you have two problems. One the dent you are talking about unless I see it I don't know for sure but I believe this is minor and something you need to live with. The paper goes through a fuser which uses a teflon sleeve over a heater surface and a lower pressure roller made of rubber. It may be that you need a new lower pressure roller they get little cuts in them sometimes. Two the spots are probably from a faulty toner cartridge. It has a leak.

Printed pages are dented as if embossed at regular intervals. The dents are consistent as to shape and location. Printing appears in the shapes as required.

This is caused by the fuser unit, most likely it has some hard lumps of toner on one of the rollers. You may be able to clean this off, this video may help, if not then fit a new fuser unit.

If the drum has marks on it, you might have to replace it.  Sometimes the fuser rollers can leave marks on them as well.
Check for lines on the drum first.  If they are there, it could need a drum replacement.

Lanier 6613 copier. Image is offset down the page by 3 and 1/2 inches. Is this a setup issue? Any suggestions?

try making a copy and then open the door when the paper is in the center of the machine. if the image is offset before the paper hits the fuser(hot) rollers>the problem is in your drum unit (most likely a cleaning blade. If it happens after going through the fuser(hot) rollers you have a fuser roller problem. Most likely you have a worn drum cleaning blade which is cheaper the a drum. Good Luck.

Vertical dots down center of paper HP 1320 printer

If the pattern repeats down the feed path of the paper, then a roller is causing it. The toner cartridge replaces the transfer drum, the fuser roller remains in the printer. Since your old cartridge does not show this problem the fuser roller sounds to be fine. Return the recently purchased toner for a replacment, you should be fine. If not then a proper cleaning by a certified technician would be in order.

Thick black line on printed page

If the line runs the way that the paper does I.E. vertical on a portrait then it is dirty rollers normally.
If you open the lid and wipe the rollers this shoukd reduce or eliminate the black lines.

PAPER JAM

Rotate tires. Pull out paper tray. Pull down on red low paper indicator at left bottom. Two rollers come down on axel near center. I pulled off the rubber tire like roller, then twisted the roller inside out and reinstalled it with the fresh side out.
If tires dry out again will probably buy new ones from ebay.

You most likely have some ink residue on the pickup, feed, or registration rollers for the problem to be on the back of the page. Use a flashlight and a q-tip moistened with isopropyl alcohol to swab all of the rollers in the paper path and see where the higest concentration is. You could also try to LIGHTLY dampen a sheet of paper with alcohol and print a "Blank" page a few times with it then do the same with fresh paper.
