Same with mine as well ... i have the same V2000 PC notebook and the speakers have just gone silent. The only solution i see here i guess assumes external speakers, which obviously isnt the case here in the Notebook. Kindly let me know if this is a common problem and if it has a solution that can be applied by the end user.

    thanks

Check the power adapter for the speakers. Make sure it is plugged in to both the outlet and the port on the back of the speakers.

Toshiiba satellite p205 Internal Harmon Kardon Speakers Do Not Work

Most likely its a nardware problem.
If Device manager shows the audio driver is working and enabled and when you plug an headphone into the headphone/audio out and you only get sound from the right headphone then the audio amp chip is faulty.
If the headphone sounds OK then the easiest solution is to connect a set of powered speakers to your laptop.

I can hear sound through headphone but not through speakers. The volume of the speaers are turned up

Hi,

The most common issue with speakers. I hope you have not plugged in the headphones while trying to hear sound from speakers. However, go to control panel - sounds & audio devives - and select the correct sound device installed for your computer.

My speakers wont work suddenly unless I am using my headphones

Make sure in the volume mixer that it is using the right sound device. You most likely have it set to the wrong device output. When you plugged in the headphones in kinda automatically switches, but to use the speakers again you have to do it manually. Just hook up a cheap av receiver to your computer and use this headphone input instead. a 100$ 5.1 av receiver beats any pc speaker system.

I can hear sound in head phone where as i am unable to hear sound from speakers

You must set the sound output on your computer either through the motherboard sound controller or through the windows control panel. In each of these sections will be a speaker set-up control allowing you set up the type of sound you want to come out of your computer. Headphones only, speakers only, Headphones and speakers. Hope this helps you with your problem.

Speakers not working-- can only hear using headphones w/computer

unplug your headphones, and plug the speaker cord into that jack. its possible that the speakers you are using require power either by a cord or batteries and without them, it wont play sound. also, possible, your speakers are bad.

No sound from headphones connected to speaker

I may be too simple of an answer but that would happen if the headphones weren't plugged all the way in. If there is a bend in the connector and it's hitting the speaker they may not be plugged in all the way.
